On Tuesday, a team of Gujarat's Anti- Terrorist Squad nabbed a member of the Dawood gang from Mumbai.

In a joint operation with CID crime,the team arrested Dharmendra Sajani.

According to an official, there was a firing case lodged with the Jetpur police station of Rajkot in 2002. During the incident, Sanjani with five other accused had got inside a Deviyan dining hall and fired at Mohan Roaji and his manager Arvind Chiman Patel. Patel died in the incident.

Police were able to nab five of the accused, but Sajani had escaped to Dubai and was wanted for 17 years. On Tuesday, ATS officials got specific information about Sajani visiting Mumbai. Acting on it, a team was put on watch at Mumbai airport and he was nabbed.

Officials suspect that Sajani has a connection with Anif Ibrahim and investigation is on. The accused has been handed over to CID crime for further investigation and they have started an investigation.
