Arrested IS operatives were had plans to build base in Jamaica

The Gujarat Anti-terrorist Squad (ATS) managed to lay their hands on a conservation between the two arrested IS operatives and Abdullah-el-Faisal, in which the operatives discussed weapons, jihad, and Islamic State. The conversation revealed that the duo were planning to build a base camp in Jamaica and were going to train more youths. Officials have so revealed that the duo weer also a part of a 10-member group on social media, where they used to talk about the Islamic State.

On October 25, the ATS nabbed Kasim Stimberwala, a lab technician at a private hospital of Ankleshwar, and Ubed Baig Mirza, a lawyer who also owns Hotel Dawat on VIP road in Surat. As per the officers, both the arrested men are IS followers and were in constant contact with ISIS handler Shafi Armar alias Zahed-al-Hindi. It was revealed during interrogation that the they were also in touch with Abdullah-el-Faisal, a radical preacher, through Facebook and WhatsApp, and were planning to move to Jamaica.

ATS sources said, the duo's FB account was blocked for using some radical words during their conversation with Faisal. The created fresh accounts to continue the conversations. The duo had talked about jihad, weapons, members, and the Islamic State. 

Apart from that, they also spoke about their Jamaica plans.

As per their plan, Stimberwala was had already availed his visa for Jamaica and was planning to fly there in the first week of November. He had resigned from his work and had already booked his tickets as per the plan. Ubed was supposed to stay in India to execute plans and recruit more youths for IS.
