Arjun Modhwadia meets Shankersinh Vaghela, dubs it as a casual meeting

Disgruntled Congress leader Shankersinh Vaghela and former Gujarat Congress president Arjun Modhwadia met for an hour at Gandhinagar Circuit House on Thursday. 

Both the leaders termed the meeting a casual one but sources in the party tell a different tale. They said the speculations of Vaghela moving to BJP with his supporters is the reason various Congress leaders are meeting him.

After the meeting, Modhwadia said, “This was a casual meeting as I had gone to Mehsana in the morning to meet the family members of the deceased Ketan Patel who died in police custody a few days back. While returning, I called on Bapu and discussed poll related issues.”

A sources in the party said, “Vaghela is not convinced yet and is displeased. He can act unpredictably in future and the party is trying to avoid such circumstances.” After meeting Modhwadia, Vaghela moved to his residence Vasant Vagdo on the outskirts of Gandhinagar. Here, he met different community leaders of apolitical background.
