BJP chief Amit Shah is going to assess political equations in Gujarat BJP, during the party's two day Chintan Baithak that commences on Sunday in Ahmedabad. Shah and the top leaders in Gujarat BJP will discuss on socio-political equations in Gujarat. They may even go for a party overhaul, across levels.

This meeting will prepare the blue print for the party's strategy in Gujarat for the Lok Sabha polls. Though the meeting shall start on Sunday, Shah will stay in Gujarat on Monday and Tuesday.

The BJP faced a major setback in the state's assembly polls held in December and total tally of seats fell to 99 from 120. Patel Reservation agitation under the leadership of PAAS convener Hardik Patel, OBC Thakor community wooed by Congress leader Alpesh Thakor, and Dalit community uproar helped by Jignesh Mevani, were the major reasons behind BJP's poor show, despite PM Narendra Modi and Amit Shah's intense campaigning.

Party leaders will pull their socks up to nullify these factors in Gujarat before the 2019 polls. The party had won all 26 seats in the last Lok sabha elections, hope to repeat the same.

The Chintan Shibir will be attended by Gujarat BJP in-charge Bhupender Yadav, national general secretary for organisation V Satish, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, among others.
