Setting the tone for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, BJP president Amit Shah on Tuesday told party cadres in Ahmedabad not to worry about the Opposition’s mahagathbandhan. “Remove fear of Gath Bandhan from your hearts. Many workers across the nation are concerned what will happen, but friends nothing bad will happen. If Deve Gaudaji comes here for speech, does it make a difference? If Mamata goes to Maharashtra and Akhileshji goes to Kerala and give speech, does it make any difference? They are leaders of their own states and you have defeated them in 2014 polls.”

Taking a jibe at Congress president Rahul Gandhi, Shah said that if Gandhi could identify between rabi and khariff crops, he would believe that the Congress leader had some knowledge about agriculture. “Our PM has announced great assistance scheme for farmers but Rahul Gandhi is insisting for debt waivers. He does not have patience to study the scheme. The UPA-1 had waived off Rs 53,000 crore of farmers debt that benefited only three crore farmers. While in NDA’s scheme, Rs 75,000 crore will benefit 15 crore farmers,” he said.

Shah praised the organisational capacity and leadership of PM Modi. He said that PM Modi is world’s most popular leader. He added that the PM is a motivational force for cadres as he created miracles in five years. “Our PM Modi led the BJP to power. Out government at the Centre does not have a single blot for party workers to feel ashamed of. Go among the people of India and they will welcome you with affection,” Shah said. The BJP president also to the party cadre that they have great organisational skills and do not need to poll preparations. You have to break all the past records. The parameter of BJP’s victory in these polls is not just PM Modi taking oath as PM again. The BJP should get all 26 seats in Gujarat,” he said.

Shah launched the Mera Pariwar BJP ka Pariwar campaign from home and unfurled party’s flag at his residence in Thaltej area of Ahmedabad. The workers also were instructed to follow the suit and post on social media.
