A senior BJP leader says Amitbhai guided the CM Rupani, Dy CM Nitin Patel and party chief in state Vaghani on political appointments in Gujarat government
BJP president Amit Shah arrived at Ahmedabad airport on Monday evening and the purpose of his visit is totally political. Shah met senior BJP leaders including CM Vijay Rupani, state party chief Jitu Vaghani and others in the late evening at CM's residence in Gandhinagar. It is learnt from the sources that Shah suffled the cards for political appointments in Gujarat government during this meeting. He is going to stay till Tuesday evening in the home state.
A senior BJP leader informed, "Amitbhai held meeting with party leaders and the purpose was totally political. He guided the CM Rupani, Dy CM Nitin Patel and party chief in state Vaghani on political appointments in Gujarat government. He also made suggestions over the reshuffle in bureaucracy of the state government including IAS and IPS officials. He visited Gujarat last time but that visit was totally personal and he did not held meeting for any political reason. So, this meeting was totally dedicated for the political reasons only."
In the meeting, Gujarat BJP's organisation secretary Bhikhubhai Dalsania also was present. "Shah also gave the blueprint of the functioning of party organisation in days to come looking at the Lok Sabha polls to be held next year. He felt that the organisation of party should be made vibrant soon as the same went in dormant mode after the Gujarat polls," added the senior leader.
However, the Gujarat BJP spokesperson Bharat Pandya said, "Amitbhai reached Ahmedabad on Monday evening and he also attended a religious function in Sola. He would stay for one more day in Ahmedabad."
No any official announcement on purpose of visit of Shah was made public by the party organisation.
