AMC seeks action over cleaning of city lakes

Seeking an inquiry for the payment made for cleaning lakes in the city, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) had roped in several private players. However, no action was initiated by any of these players.

After the order was issued, the vigilance department has initiated an inquiry into the matter.

A proposal seeking an extension of three months was introduced before the health and solid waste for cleaning lakes on Friday. The chairman also granted a month's time for the work.
