The Sabarmati is going to receive 50,000 cusecs of water from the dam on Tuesday, civic officials said, and hence those living in areas such as Chandrabhaga, Indira bridge, Bakrol, Vanzar, and Gyaspur need to remain alert.
According to municipal commissioner Mukesh Kumar, all the precautionary measures have been taken. “Our teams have been deployed at the Riverfront and low-lying areas. We don’t want people to go close to the river belt,”  he said.
