A complaint was lodged with Narol police station on Tuesday by a 50-year-old woman alleging that due to the negligence of a nurse, her 22-year-old daughter is going through several operations and might even lose her hand. The complaint was lodged by Usha Jain, a resident of Samor Residence in the Narol area. She stated in her complaint that she works in the Vastral RTO and has four daughters and a son. Two of her older daughters have gotten married, while her son Paras (19) and younger daughter Mansi (22) live with her.
According to her complaint, on the morning of March 24, her daughter Mansi had some temperature, so she took her to neighbour Divya Pathak, who works as a nurse with Ashirwad hospital located in Isanpur area. Pathak checked Mansi and gave her some medicine. That evening, Mansi's condition worsened, she was taken to Ashirwad hospital by Pathak.
As per the allegation, as it was Sunday, the doctor was not present at the hospital, so Pathak called the doctor and told him about Mansi. The doctor told Pathak to give some medicine to her but to avoid any kind of injection and drips. Despite that, Pathak took some drips and injection from the hospital and they returned home. At home, she gave Mansi an injection and drips on her left hand.
The next day, Mansi's condition got worse and she started feeling pain on her left hand which was a little swollen. When Usha consulted Pathak, she told it normal and that it would be gone by the next day. But on March 26, Mansi's entire hand was swollen and she was rushed to LG hospital for treatment.
At the hospital, the doctor stated that her hand had been infected and it showed symptoms of Gangrene and that it should be immediately operated on. Until now, three operations have been conducted on her hand and the family fear that she will lose her hand.
Regarding the matter, a complaint was lodged with the Narol police station against Pathak for her negligence and further investigation is on. The family members alleged that it was due to Pathak that their daughter has to go through all this and that she might even lose her hand.
