Ahmedabad: Sex racket busted; three held five rescued

Naranpura police, on Wedn-esday night, busted a sex racket which was being run inside a bungalow located in Naranpura area of the city. During the operation, five women were rescued and three accused including the pimp was arrested.

As per the police, they got a specific tip-off about a sex racket that was being run inside bungalow number 6 of Kishor Colony located in Naranpura. Acting on the information, two teams were made for the operation and a dummy customer was sent to the bungalow to trap the accused involved in the racket.

At around 11pm on Wednesday, police raided the bungalow and rescued five women who had been forced into the sex racket and nabbed three accused identified as Manoj Trivedi, Varsha Joshi and Kinjal Tardiya.

Further investigation revealed that Trivedi was the one who used to supply the girls while Joshi looked after them and managed the financial deals. Tardiya was a customer. Inspector JR Patel of Naranpura police station said, "We have found out that the pimp Trivedi was supplying the girls to the customer and we suspect that he also supplies girls to other people in the city. Further investigation will reveal more about the case. Currently, we have registered a case against the three and further investigation is on."
