Ahmedabad: Eight-year-old sexually assaulted by neighbour in Vejalpur

An eight-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by her neighbour in Vejalpur. According to the complaint, accused Farhan, a neighbour of the victim, had lured the child with his pet squirrel.

The complaint states that the child told her mother she was going to her neighbour's house to play with the squirrel babies on Tuesday evening.

At the house, the accused called the victim to his room and touched the kid inappropriately. Incidentally, when the accused's mother called him he stopped and asked the girl to come again and not to share what happened with her, the FIR states.

The complaint further states that the mother found something was wrong when the baby after she suddenly became mute.

On inquiring, the girl narrated her mother the horrific incident.

The woman, who is a housewife, then consulted with her family before filing a complaint with the Vastrapur police station.

The accused and his brother live with their parents on the same floor as the victim, police said.
