Ahmed Patel Rajya Sabha victory matter posted for April 30

Following fresh summons issued by the Gujarat High Court, Bengaluru-based Eagleton Resort's manager, Mathew, on Thursday remained present before the court in the ongoing trial of the election petition filed by BJP's Balvantsinh Rajput against the Rajya Sabha (RS) poll victory of Congress leader Ahmed Patel.

Notably, Patel had kept Congress MLAs at the resort just before the RS elections to avoid horse-trading by the ruling BJP. However, the manager did not bring the required documents and his cross-examination has been scheduled for April 30.
