The Gujarat High Court, it seems, is not in a mood to entertain the bail plea of Vismay Shah, who is behind bars in a prohibition case, with three high court judges recusing from taking up his plea. After Justice Umesh Trivedi and Justice AP Thaker, Justice VB Mayani also recused from hearing Shah's plea on Wednesday as a result of which he will have to remain behind bars, at least for the time being.

Notably, Shah has already been convicted in the infamous hit-and-run case of 2013 and was out on bail, when he was again caught in an illegal liquor party that took him as well as his newly-wed back to jail. A Gandhinagar Court has already rejected the bail plea, against which they have moved the high court.

With three judges recusing during the high court's winter vacation, the only option left for the high court registry is to place the matter before Justice AC Rao on Thursday, or the matter could be placed before the regular bench once the court reopens on January 7.

Vismay and his wife were among the six people arrested by Gandhinagar police while they were having a liquor party at a farmhouse on December 26.
