The dates of the exam was postponed several times this year, first when it clashed with the examination of the CBSE and then, it clashed with Lok Sabha polling date in the state.

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has registered a total of 1,34,846 candidates for the Gujarat Common Entrance Test scheduled to be held on April 26. Of the 1,34,846 candidates, 56,913 students are in Group A, 77,478 in Group B and 455 in Group AB of class 12 science. The dates of the exam was postponed several times this year, first when it clashed with the examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and then, it clashed with Lok Sabha polling date in the state.
Students appearing for Physics will take the exam from 10am to 12pm, the Biology exam will be held from 1pm to 2pm and Mathematics students will appear from 3pm to 4pm. Over 1.36 lakh candidates took the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) at 34 centres in 2018. Out of a total of 1,36,498 registered candidates, 1,34,979 took the exams.
