The alumni association, headed by Hiral Shah, consisted of 50 ex-students, most of them in their teens. It took three months of dedicated hard work for them to prepare for Cascade.

Niharika Bansal, 16, a member of the core organising committee, said she was shy back in school, but having worked with the JNAA she had “become bold and gained experience in the practical world of public relations and event management”. This, she hoped, would help her a lot as she aspires to become a PR executive.

The home team, JNS, won the overall trophy at the festival.
