A buzz of fervour and enthusiasm engulfed Jamnabai Narsee School (JNS) when its 18th annual inter-school cultural festival, Cascade, organised by the Jamnabai Narsee Alumni Association (JNAA), began.
Boys and girls dressed in formals ran about the school corridors, hurriedly speaking into walkie-talkies, coordinating with fellow organising committee members, to conduct the various events.
About 3,800 students from Std I to Std XII from 40 schools across the city participated in the festival, a record for Cascade, which began in 1993 with just 12 ICSE schools participating.
The mega competition-cum-entertainment extravaganza this year had a total of 54 events like drama, debate, music, fine arts, graffiti, writing and so on, which saw active participation from students of different age groups.
