Xavier's rally lights the way for students, alumni alike

St Xavier's High School, Loyola Hall took out a torch rally to celebrate its platinum jubilee. The school, which completed 75 years, began the rally from its Mirzapur branch at 7 am on Friday.The rally ended at the Loyola Hall.

The rally also covered Roopali Theatre, Nehru Bridge, Ashram Road, Mt Carmel High School, Swastik crossroads, HL College of Commerce and Vijay crossroads.
Municipal commissioner IP Gautam lit the torch at the Mirzapur premises.

Manoj Antani, the regional passport officer, was the chief guest at Loyala Hall function. "I am a proud Xavierite and hope the school will continue the legacy of producing best citizens," Antani said. Faculties, students and their parents were also present on the occasion.

The school has also planned various other celebrations and events throughout the year to commemorate its jubilee celebrations. Speaking on the occasion the school's principal Fr Fernand Durai said the school will continue its legacy of imparting community education. He said the USP of the school has always been imparting people-oriented education and it will continue to do so.
