Finally students of Gujarat Technological University's (GTU) affiliated colleges located in distant parts of the state can heave sighs of relief.

If everything goes as per the plan, the varsity will launch its new service - 'e-advert' - a paperless online grievance system from next week onwards.

The new system, which will work only online, will facilitate students very much as it will now no longer make it necessary for them to come physically to the varsity office even to make minor changes in their names, or wrong information printed in exam-related documents. Examination controller, GTU, GP Vadodaria said that the service is designed to make the system faster and more effective.

"The move will reduce people's movement at the headquarters. Plus it will also take a considerable burden off our shoulders. We will authorize colleges to nominate one coordinator at respective colleges who will be responsible to collect, scan and send the complaints to a specially designed portal. As we receive the complaint, we will forward it to the concerned department. Then students will also be able to get a receipt for the same online," said Vadodaria.

Vadodaria said, "Once the system starts, we also intend to decide a timeframe for the officials to do away with the complaint. We are currently testing the system to understand issues related to it, and we will launch it sometime next week."

As the students send the complaint online, they will also get the details online once the yare addressed.

This will ensure rapid communication, and no hassles related to paperwork.
