The sustained rise of the ‘India Shining’ phenomenon over the years indicates a steady growth in the demand for global managers from the country.

The increasing demand for qualified managers, global placements and lucrative careers have tilted the balance in favour of management education, which has become extremely popular as a postgraduate specialisation for students from all streams.

At the same time, the rising number of management aspirants has increased competition levels to greater heights. Preparing for the entrance exams, therefore, has become a much more significant and complex process for those who want to enter a management programme at one of the leading institutes.

A high level of comprehension of basic concepts pertaining to mathematics, verbal ability in English language and logical reasoning is a precursor for an MBA programme, so testing students for these skills is a prerequisite to getting enrolled in any prestigious institution.

The recent MBA-CET 2010 exam results reflected this and reiterated the need for systematic preparation by management aspirants along with the importance of a focused approach. While several institutes have been facilitating the process, the teaching methodology and consequently success levels vary.

Among the success stories this year was Vidyalankar where six students secured a percentile score of above 99.5 with Rohan Nair at 9th rank (99.97%) and Kunal Waradkar at 26th rank (99.93%).  “The most striking feature of Vidyalankar is its teaching methodology which helped me develop my study strategy. The faculty here is excellent and has mentored many a student in realizing their dream,” says Kunal Waradkar, Vidyalankar MBA-CET 2010 topper.

Vidyalankar attributed the successful performance of its students to the detailed analysis and designed training programmes tailored to suit their requirements.

The specialised training methodologies at Vidyalankar brush up basics and home on to the “How to approach Verbal abilities questions” (for English) and the “fast calculation techniques” (for mathematics). They are specially formulated to inculcate a high level of problem solving abilities and prepare them for these entrance exams.

MBA aspirants have also credited Vidyalankar’s sustained focus on systematic training by providing in-depth study material, intensive training and testing of core competencies for their performance. With strategy and practice honed to perfection, students develop confidence in their abilities and achieve success in large numbers. Specially trained and accomplished faculty provides value additions in terms of organized planning, logical approach and excellent time management, which reduces stress- levels in students to a great extent.

Vidyalankar inducted its first batch of students for MBA-CET classes for the 2006-07 exams and has witnessed exponential growth within a short period of time. With its performance based training coupled with the sound training by faculty and focused diligence of students, it has been successful in placing them in prestigious B-schools like ISB, Wellingkars, Sydenham, NMIMS, SIES, etc.
