Pillai inaugurates a world class school

Classroom seating modelled on the pattern of American schools, LCD televisions in classrooms and internet facilities and state-of-the-art science laboratories are some of the world class facilities that the Dr Pillai Global Academy is offering students at its school in Borivali.  

The school administered by the Mahatma Education Society has opened admissions which will go on till March. "Our curriculum and infrastructure has been modelled upon educational institutes abroad," said Maurice Coutinho, principal of Dr Pillai Global Academy (read interview).

Based on an international method of learning, the school has classes from nursery till class VIII. After this students appear for a checkpoint exam which helps them get into the IGSE board system.

Post the board exam; students will have the option of continuing their junior college education under the IB (International Baccalaureate) programme. "After this students can get their degree education in any of the Pillai Group of Institutions either here or aboard," explained Coutinho.
