MSRIT students emerge winners in quiz contest

Banglore: The team from MS Ramiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT) emerged winners in the Bangalore Zone Sweden India Nobel Memorial Quiz 2009, that was held at RV College campus on Tuesday.


The quiz was conducted as a part of the Nobel Week celebrations, that took place across the country, over this week. The Embassy of Sweden in India in association with RV QuizCorp, the quizzing club of RV College of Engineering, organised the Sweden India Nobel Memorial Quiz.

The four-hour quiz programme covered a wide range of topics .There were around 35 questions in the written preliminary round. TV Anchor Deepak Thimaya was the chief guest of the function while Nitish Khadiya, alumnus of RV College, was the quiz master.Around 100 teams from the city participated in the quiz.

Teams from RV College of Engineering , St. Joseph's College, National Law School of India University, MSRIT, Bangalore Institute of Technology and Christ University qualified for the final. Each team had three members.

The all-India winners of the quiz programme can go on an all-expense paid trip to visit the companies in Sweden. Bangalore winners Rahul Jadav, Srikanth and Abhishek will fly to New Delhi to attend the national finals on November 8.
