DNA supports Mithibai College's annual BMS (Bachelor of Management Studies) festival — Colosseum. Organisers are in full swing to make sure that this milestone year — the 10th year— is one to remember. The walls of the college are already decked with colorful graffiti to kick-start the three-day long event that begins tomorrow.
The USP of this year’s festival are some very innovative events like shoe designing and pizza delivery. Krishna Turakhia, spokesperson of the festival, explains, “We will provideparticipants with shoes which they have to designhowever they want. And of course the most innovative shoe will bag the prize.”
She continues, “The pizza event is titled ‘Just in Time’. This one concentrates on time management. Participants will have to prepare a pizza and deliver it to a location in Juhu within 30 minutes. The trick here is that they will not be provided with the direct address of the place. In fact, they will be given clues about a particular place and they will have to figure out where to deliver the pizza.”
Just like any other college fest, Colosseum does not lack in the more popular events like dance competitions and fashion shows.Krishna explains, “A festival is organised to have fun. This time around the biggest attraction of our fest is the Prom Night. While we do have hard core management events, we have tried to keep the mood light so that many more colleges and just not only management colleges can participate in the festival.”
