A commercial pilot’s job involves carrying passengers or cargo or both by air. One of the most adventurous careers a person can opt for, aspirants are required to be well-versed in meteorology and air navigation, and familiar with the equipment and instruments under their control.
Pilots also have to plan out flight timings and schedules, and take every safeguard against eventualities of adverse weather, loss of contact with the air traffic control tower, sudden mechanical snags etc. As the person in charge of the passengers or cargo, they have many pressing responsibilities on their shoulders.
There are two distinct sectors in the Indian Aviation Industry, commercial and military. Commercial aviation involves handling passenger and cargo planes, international air services, and air taxi and charter operations.
Commercial airlines usually have a typical organisational structure that involves airline operations, maintenance marketing and finance divisions.
