Imaginative children set school stage on fire in Ahmedabad

These children were let to imagine and what they came up with made adults sit up and take notice at the annual day function of Anand Niketan school, Bodakdev. The theme of the function this year revolved around the various places and cultures around the world.

The event which took shape from a project called Just Imagine, looked at how kids’ imagination can transform even the mundane into scintillating centre stage performance.

The curtains opened to a musical journey, performed by kindergarten students in three different forms - musical, dance and drama - keeping in mind the roles played out in an extended family.

Kids displayed their acting talents by presenting different festivals celebrated across the world in varied hues.

“The performances were wonderful. The children transformed what they learnt in the classrooms on to the stage,” said Vaishali Parikh, one of the spectators at the event.

Performing on a different theme, elder kids of Std I captivated the audience with their show of ‘Just imagine - Transformations in Telecommunications’.

People who enjoyed the show, said children’s performance highlighted the importance of evolution.

The children presented a humorous situation of a cyber-savvy Cinderella, video chatting with her prince, while her sisters tweeted away.

Similarly, Std II students adapted Steven Covey’s story, The seven habits of happy kids, and took it to great heights of creativity.
