After the successful placement of PGP and PGP-ABM students at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) this year, the students of Armed Forces Programme (AFP) at the institute are having a rigorous routine with their self-managed placement process. Of the batch of 49 students, whose work experiences vary from 5 years to 30 years, 42 students are taking part in the placement this year.

The rest plan to start their own ventures.

The batch, which has students from all the three defence services, also has 12 lady officers. Talking about the placement this year, student of AFP Srinivas Raghavan said, "We have a batch that has a background in engineering, logistics and human resource management among others.""Our placements began on March 12 and it is going well. We expect to place all the students by March 24," he said.
