IB college looks at 100% schols

With a student/ alumni based in over 75 countries and 25 full time faculty representing eight nationalities, Mahindra's United World College India (UWC), is giving its IB diploma students a complete global experience.

Spreading the motto, 'the world is one family,' for past 11 years, UWC alumni has now decided to play an active role in the world of education. The United World Colleges Committee India has a vision to ensure that all students are funded by 100% scholarships.
Through this event contributions will be raised from sponsors, alumni and parents to finance the scholarships of Indian students aspiring to be a part of the UWC movement.

"We are conducting a lecture series, titled the United Wheels of Change which will emphasise the onus placed on our alumni and urge them to become drivers of change," said Smita Parekh, director, UWC,The lecture series is an infant step in realising the vision of the UWC Committee India.

"We seek to lay the groundwork for a solely scholarships driven organisation and ensure that meritorious students of all socio-economic backgrounds are presented with an equal opportunity to pursue a high quality education," informed Parekh adding that the current scenario of educational initiatives in India is teetering between greatness, mediocrity and malaise.
