With an aim to empower its students and faculty members with digital skills, Delhi University today launched a Digital Learning Curriculum in collaboration with Microsoft India.

Vice chancellor Deepak Pental launched the programme which is expected to benefit nearly one lakh students.

"Technology has evolved as a key enabler for growth in the recent times. It has become imperative for students and faculty to be well versed with IT in order to face and surmount the challenges of the real world.

"The Digital Learning campaign has been undertaken with the sole objective of enhancing IT literacy among our students and teachers, and help them harness their potential," Pental said.

Under the initiative, IT labs across all colleges will have the Microsoft Digital Literacy Curriculum installed on computers. The students in their respective colleges can use the curriculum in a self-paced e-learning mode.

Once the students have gone through the curriculum, they will have to undergo an online test. If they pass the test, they would receive a ILLL-DU-Microsoft Digital Literacy certification.
