CAT to begin from January 30

The CAT committee has announced on Friday new exam dates for the candidates who could not complete the test on the earlier schedule due to various glitches.

The test will be conducted on January 30-31. The first phase of CAT 2009 was from November 28 to December 8, 2009.

While the candidates identified for the re-test in phase-two would receive communication from Prometric by January 10, the results of CAT 2009 are likely to be declared by the third week of February.

The rescheduled candidates include those who could not take the test due to closure of their test labs, those who could not take the test as they were notified of their rescheduling less than 48 hours before the test or due to rescheduling in a city different from their earlier choice.

A notice on the CAT website said, ‘the criteria have been arrived at based on the analysis of calls and emails received from the candidates; site reports filed by the site managers; computer logs; and information gathered from websites and blogs.’
