Bangalore: The shaky economy has definitely created problems for students in the hospitality sector, but the students of Army Institute of Hotel Management and Cateringproved that recession cannot dampen their appetite for seeking culinary skills.

Aromaz 2009, the annual food festival organised by the Army Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology here on Sunday, highlighted various career opportunities in the industry.

The students showcased their skills in every section of the hospitality industry-- from the reception to preparation of food and beverage, and housekeeping.

Students from many colleges in the city lined up their stalls in the food festival and offered the public an opportunity to experience various Indian, continental and oriental cuisines. Visitors thronged Zayka, the Indian food stall, to taste Murgh Dum Pukht Biryani, and other Indian cuisine. While Chingari treated the guests with tikkas and kebabs, Eatopia welcomed health conscious visitors with different kinds of salad. Affordable rates and innovative ways of presenting the food added charm to the festival.
The event was held at the college campus in Kothanur Post.
