Prime Minister Manmohan Singh arrived in Ahmedabad today to take part in the Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad's (IIM-A) annual convocation.

Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi will share the stage with the PM at the convocation ceremony of the top business school which is celebrating its golden jubilee year.

IIM-A had invited the prime minister to be the chief guest at the ceremony and the invitation was accepted by him.

Singh will be the third prime minister to preside over the IIM-A's convocation function after Indira Gandhi in 1968 and PV Narasimha Rao in 1993.
