I have a MA in English Literature and want to pursue a PhD. My interests are in fields like education, English literature and cinema. Which could be the right for me in the above-mentioned areas? Could you also suggest institutes, which I should consider for the same?

Pursuing a PhD is a challenging career option. You need to first decide your aptitude or area of interest. The three areas mentioned by you are quite diverse and hence I would recommend an aptitude testing process before you move further. You could do your PhD in Education or English Literature from a state university in India. For cinema, you have good options such as JNU -Delhi or Jadhavpur University to name a few. Finalise your topic of research in consultation with your guide only after you decide on the area of research. You may also consider doing specialised cinema related courses from FTII Pune or Whistling Woods Mumbai.

A post graduation in transportation design is a great option to pursue. You would study in great detail areas such as Aerodynamics, Fluid Dynamics, Automobile Engineering, Automotive Modelling, Design related to Packaging and transportation of Vehicles, etc. You may explore such postgraduate courses at NID Ahmedabad, MIT Institute of Design, Pune. You may also explore management development programmes from CIRT, Pune.

A career in forensic sciences is an option worth pursuing. You may consider doing your Masters from Gujarat Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar, University of Madras to name a few.
