HSC and SSC examination results to be out in time

The results of secondary certificate (SSC) and higher secondary certificate (HSC) examination will be out on time, the board officials have assured. They have confirmed that there will be no impact of polls on board results and it will be out in time without any delay.

The SSC and HSC examinations got over recently and now students will wait for their results of one-year of hard work. As the parliamentary election is scheduled to start next month and most of state government employees, including teachers, will be busy in poll duty, students fear that their results might get delayed. Normally, the SSC and HSC examinations are declared in May last week and June first week.

On Thursday, Mumbai University had to postpone all examinations scheduled for March 28 and April 1, as teachers and other college staff were assigned election-related duties on these dates. Students fear that the poll may delay their result and subsequently delay the admission in colleges. "Their fear is natural but we are firm that the result will be declared in the first week of July of both examinations," said a board official.

The examination of IT paper which is being conducted online for all streams students will conclude on March 29. "The important papers of HSC was completed on March 12, while the SSC examination which started after two weeks of HSC examination, concluded on March 27," said Laxmikant Pandey, Chairman, Mumbai division of Maharashtra state board of secondary and higher secondary examination.

The work of assessment is already going on and it will be completed in next one week time. "Once the assessment of answer sheets will be completed, the scanning of marks will be carried out. Later the marks will be put up in the marks sheet," said an board official.

This year, a total 3,28,698 students appeared in HSC examination of which 41,821 students were repeaters in Mumbai division. In SSC examination, the total number of students was 3.16lakh.
