Cvent, the global meeting, event and travel technology leader, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NASSCOM Foundation, the social arm of India?s apex IT - BPM industry body, NASSCOM, to launch the Cvent India Employability Enhancement Programme.

Under this programme, Cvent will provide specific job-related skills in voice and non-voice CRM to underserved youth and women so that they can earn greater employability opportunities within the IT/ ITeS sector.

The MoU was signed by Shrikant Sinha, CEO of NASSCOM Foundation and Cvent?s Founder and Global CEO Reggie Aggarwal.

?We are glad to partner with Cvent to train the youth from underserved communities on key skills and make them employment ready for any IT BPM company to hire ? A Win ? Win for both the society and the industry. This partnership also is a great example of how CSR funds can be used for the benefit of creating more employment opportunities for the ever-expanding young population of our country,? said Sinha.

?India has been a critical growth enabler for Cvent, and we strongly believe in reinvesting in the country and its people to help the local economy strengthen and build the next generation of global technology leaders. Our partnership with NASSCOM Foundation will give those future leaders a chance to learn career-critical skills at an early age,? added Aggarwal.

In its first phase this year, Cvent India has pledged to support the training of 120 youth that come from an underserved background, out of which forty percent will be women. Training will be across three months, beginning the third week of March 2017, and will be provided by the Centum Foundation, at its designated centers in and around, Gurugram.

Training will be delivered in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the National Skills Development Corporation (NSDC) through a classroom training framework and instructor-led programme, which will equip the target beneficiaries with the SSC NASSCOM Qualification Pack for CRM Voice QP 2210 and CRM Non-Voice QP 2211.

Upon successful completion, participants will also receive certificates from Cvent India, NASSCOM IT-ITeS Sector Skill Council and the Centum Foundation. NASSCOM Foundation and its training partner will also help provide support for suitable employment opportunities for at least 50 percent of the participants through placement drives and job fairs
