Joint degree programmes are becoming more and more popular these days. Taking up such programmes is beneficial for students as mobility and intercultural exchange increases the international employability of its graduates. Keeping this in mind, BSE Institute has signed a MoU with two Australian universities - University of Western Sydney and Deakin University, Melbourne, to offer collaborative programmes.

As per the MoU between BSE Institute and University of Sydney, the former will offer a dual degree programme i.e. MBA plus MSC Finance. The institute's association with Deakin University will allow students to apply for a Master of Applied Finance programme at Deakin's. "Both programmes are industry defined and enable students to study a part of the programme in Mumbai, intern with corporates and then complete the remaining term at respective universities," informs Datta, adding that students can intern with Australian financial companies as a part of the programme.

India being at the cusp of a golden period of growth, this is the right time for students to learn global practices from foreign markets and participate in Indian opportunities as well. "With the global integration of financial markets, students from India and Australia now have a tremendous opportunity to learn from each other," says Datta.

The idea behind BSE introducing these partner programmes is to bring Indian education systems in line with international practices through mutual recognition of academic degrees. "The aim is to develop global finance professionals who are exposed to the practices and regulatory frameworks in multiple geographies and are job ready from day one," says Datta.

The courses are set to begin this October. Students who have completed their graduation and comply with minimum eligibility criteria as applicable can apply for these programmes. "Being strongly market linked courses, the students will be well prepared on their foundational concepts so that they excel their global career," he signs off.
