Now that the board exams for the students of standard XII Science and Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHEB) are over, the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) has initiated the procedure of inviting tenders to print pamphlets and other informative materials to start the admission procedure for 63,000 seats in different professional courses in Gujarat.

MN Patel, member secretary, ACPC said, "We have invited tenders to start the preparation for the admission procedure which is likely to begin after the result of Std XII Science is declared on May 10."
The ACPC has tied up with the National Informatics Centre (NIC) to handle the online works for the committee.

Patel said, once the admission procedure starts, it would open the gates for admission in 53,000 seats in courses like engineering and pharmacy, and 10,000 in medical courses in colleges in various parts of Gujarat.

"Once the results are out, the committee will have details of GUJCET and board exam share. Keeping 60% share of the board exam marks and 40% of GUJCET course, the merit list will be published, marking the start of the procedure," Patel said.
He added that reference material like booklets and pamphlets will be distributed to guide the students. According to officials, if everything goes as per plan, the admission procedure will kick-start earlier this year compared to last year.
