I am a commerce graduate with two years work experience in a bank. I want to pursue my MBA in distance learning. Is it a good idea?
-Shweta Desai
A full time MBA has more value in the employment market. However, if you wish to do a ‘distance MBA’ only then you have many options including IGNOU, YCMOU, AIMA, and Annamalai University. Further, in case you are considering building your career in the bank field; you may also pursue and clear the BSRB exams.

I am currently pursuing my BSc in Chemistry and I want to go in for my Masters. Which is the right institute?
—Collin Braganza
Your best options would be to pursue your Masters in chemistry from either IITs or IISc.  In pursuit of the same, you need to write your GATE exams as a pre qualification for admission .You may also apply to the NIT’s and state universities of your choice.

I have done my MMS in Marketing, but am finding it difficult to get a job in the FMCG sector. Most look for experienced employees. Are there any FMCG companies which might be looking for fresher?
-Supriya Desai
In the current recessionary scenario many companies have reduced their headcount & also minimised hiring at entry level positions. They prefer people with experience since they need not invest much in their training. I suggest that look out for a job in a smaller FMCG or seek a career in a related industry segment such as hospitality, or even  retail and gain some work experience .You may then move on to the FMCG sector after a minimum of two years experience. You may also apply to FMCG companies via their websites and also post your CV on job portals for widening your search horizon.
