Engineering aspirants of Madhya Pradesh for academic year 2014 have to face the centralised Joint Entrance Exam, JEE (Main) instead of Pre-Engineering Test (PET) conducted till last year by MP Professional Examination Board (MPPEB).
The students are in a state of frenzy as MP is the fourth state after Gujarat, Maharashtra and Odisha to adopt the national-level JEE (Main) 2014, which is scheduled to be held on April 6, 2014.
The JEE (Main)-2014 is an entrance exam conducted by the JEE Apex Board for admission to undergraduate engineering programms in NITs, IITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), participating State Government Institutions etc.
One has to clear JEE (Main) to become eligible for the J EE (Advanced), for admission in the engineering courses offered by the IITs and ISM Dhanbad. The registration for the examination is open till December 26, 2013.
In an effort to guide and prepare the students appearing for JEE, Oriental University Indore has announced a week-long guidance cum coaching sessions with mock tests in the months of February and March. Limited seats will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Interested students can register themselves on the University web-site for accessing weekly sample papers, for which solutions will be uploaded in the subsequent week, and information about other preparatory activities scheduled at Oriental University Indore.
Registration on Oriental University web-site will be open from January onwards. An intensive training session followed by a mock test will also be conducted in the first week of April as a final preparation. 10 teams of faculty members have already started visiting schools on invitation.
These experts are armed with booklets and sample questions and assist students to fill the applications online and extend guidance for preparation for the big day.
